In my mind, Yano is still 17 years old.
This is because the last memories I have of him are as a mere 17 years old .
I've never seen Yano at 18 years old , or at 20 years old or even at 23 years old .
I have only known him for those 2 years in high school. But he is no longer 17.
I can't deny it, The Yano I know no longer exists.
Happy Birthday! Takeuchi and Nanami are dining together in a fine restaurant. 
They rise their glasses and toast to celebrate her birthday . Everything seems so perfect. Takeuchi is full of hope and asks Nanami if there is anything she would like to do. Nanami smiles thinking to herself it is time to make new memories and try to build a new beginning with Takeuchi since she will never be able to cross paths with Yano again. Since Fate lead them on two complete separate ways....
Meanwhile, back at Yano's workplace, he and Aki continue their conversation.
Somehow Aki's confession shocked Yano to the point he now feels able to admit the truth.
" I am living with Yamamoto now".
Aki is stunned by Yano's statement. Yano had to put the past behind but he says could not abandon the part of his past that would have not survived without him. He had no other choice but to let go the person that would have carried on living anyway, even if this was the one he cherished the most.
At the restaurant, Nanami tell Takeuchi she would like to go to Disneyland. She always wanted to go there but she never had the opportunity to. She repeats to herself the first person she made this request to doesn't exist anymore.
Aki asks Yano what happened to Yamamoto.
She cannot believe that he chose Yuri over Nanami. Yano tells her he would never think about dying as he lacks the courage for such a powerful act, no matter how desperate he is . Aki replies that courage has nothing to do with things like that.
Then Yano turns to Aki and asks what she would do if she was on a boat together with other two people and the boat would suddenly overturn. What she would do if she could save only one of them? Would she choose the one she is more friend with ? the better looking one ? the one who has nicer personality? Would she go and save the one she loves the most?
He himself would just save the one who cannot swim. Takahashi can swim on her own. She is strong and will be able to be happy no matter with whom.
At the same moment back at the restaurant, Takeuchi places the ring box on the table, opens it and hands it over to Nanami . He then says he has been in love with her for a long time and now wants to spend the rest of his life with her.
Nanami feels this is the moment she has been waiting for . The moment to part from the of 17 years old Yano ( as she think these words she recalls all her memories of the moments spent together). From now on she will spend the rest of her life with Takeuchi. Goodbye Yano.
But the words betray her very own intentions . In fact, she is only able to say" I am sorry but I cannot accept it. Words from the past arise now to her memory " Don't you think that love is the opposite of great effort?". No matter the 24 years Nanami or the 17 years old. She hasn't changed. " I can't go back anymore but I promise Yano I'll never cry again. To be with the one I chose, to walk the road I chose even if the road leads to nowhere ..I will not cry anymore. i will live on."
Wow what a chapter. Very short but powerful. Again many thanks to Suyfantasy for the time spent to read the Chinese raws. I feel very sorry for Takeuchi as the rejection must have hurt him a lot but I feel that Nanami is right. She could not commit herself to a man she is not in love with. She decided to follow her heart and although the path she chose may not lead anywhere she decided to pursue it anyway. She will not cry and continue to live on loving Yano, no matter what. Even after all these years, even if she feels she has very few chances to meet him again. Is this the strenght Yano was talking about? But what about him? For what I know he can barely swim on his own Will he be so strong to save him and Yuri as well or will he drown with her?

yeah i feel your pain cos i mostly buy all the manga online myself whenever I can but sometimes i have to rely on scanlation as well, hopefully it won't be too long for the chapters to come out, let's be positive we've been waiting for more than 1 year!!

It did have sense... The part with Nana decling was predictable :D Love is love and even she can't deny it. I'm really anxious how it will turn out.

Welcome back!! Yes, you're right Yano used a very good image to describe his reasons. And taking into account Yano's past I can see the logic behind his decision to help Yuri. But surely he cannot swim for her forever. Unless she learns to swim on her own Yano's sacrifice will be useless. Eventually he will have no choice but to let her go or die together.
Even if Yamamoto learns how to "swim" on her own I don't think she will ever let him go. She will bite&fight anybody who would want to destroy her little dream come true. The longer he will stay with her, the more problematic will the "divorce fight" be >.<" Yanooo !!! don't forget about yourself ^^"
Yes, that is excatly my concern. Yano will never be able to live his life because she is so dependant on him. And neither will she for the same reason. Yano can't nurse her for ever and i have a feeling she knows that he's with her just out of pity. Now, to me Yuri has only two options in front of her. Either learn live her own life for herself or.... suicide.
another suicide ? that would be the 3rd death in the series :) Then maybe we could rename it to "We were there with a death note !" :)))) But nontheless it can happen !
LOls!!!! Yeah quite dark and gloomy but so true!!! Anyway, Yamamoto already tried to kill herself (in the missing part in chapter 47) I think that is the very reason why Yano stayed with her..so that is very likely to happen again should he decide to walk away ( and i'm pretty sure he will eventually) of course everything can happen..Obata sensei might decide that 2 deaths are more than enough and come up with a reason for Yuri to live her life without Yano ( I'm not a huge Yuri fan myself but I don't want her to die ;_;)

ah you won't find it in the released volume. It was in chapter 47 the first time it appeared on Betsucomi but never made to volume 12 together with the rest of the chapter. When I first found out I was like OMG!!! Don't know why it was removed though ...perhaps they wanted to keep us in suspense??

i dont care about yuri.. i dont think she really loves yano.. because for me, if you really love a person, his happiness should be your goal.. and she knows she cant make him happy.. she knows that he's not happy with her.. she's just being selfish! she wants yano all to herself.. and i dont care if nobody likes her or loves her.. i think she should change first so that people will like her.. ugh! i hate her! >.< hopefully, obata-sensei would do something about her.. and i dont care if she died.. (i am so evil) hehehehe! (sorry for my rants)
that shock me but explain why yano is living with yamamoto i was wondering why he was whit her, she is very selfish she know he never love her.i hope have a happy ending this shojo make me so deprest i hpe yano and nana be happy togheter he lost all person he love he deserve be happy and nana can me he happy like she made in the past
omg...i just thought about this..What if at the end, Nanami somehow tries to suicide instead of Yuri? If it did happen, wouldn't it be like partly Yano's fault too and maybe something else epic and sad will happen.....
I mean, it's possible. Since i saw in the bokura ga ita chapter 53 raws that Nanami realized that Yano is lying to her and she will probably go confront with Yano herself but Yano might hurt her very badly this time with lies....
Of course, i know that Nanami suiciding is inpossible but she might try and then Yano saves her....that would be such an emotional ending...
